Recognizing Physicians Who Put Patient Care First and Help Injured Workers Get Back to Work
Not all doctors approach the care of injured workers with the same level of commitment. The Best Doctors in Workers’ Compensation list recognizes physicians who consistently put patients first, those who provide high quality care, clear communication, and outcomes that support a safe and timely return to work.
This annual list, published each August in OM Magazine, formerly Bloom, is based on nominations from adjusters, nurse case managers, and risk managers who have worked directly with these physicians. Each nomination reflects firsthand experience with the doctor’s ability to manage care, make sound decisions, and stay focused on what is best for the injured worker.
Many of the physicians recognized are WorkCompReady Certified. They are trained and experienced in best practices for treating injured workers and understand the importance of timely appointments, early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and clear documentation. They prioritize communication with all parties involved and help prevent delays that could affect recovery.
OM does not select the doctors. All nominations are submitted and verified to ensure the process is fair, credible, and based entirely on real experience. We are proud to provide a platform where the workers’ compensation community can recognize doctors who consistently deliver strong care and support injured workers in returning to work.

All nominations are verified and reviewed by an independent oversight committee to ensure each selected physician meets the standards of this recognition. OM does not select the doctors. Our role is to facilitate the process and ensure transparency and accuracy.
